More than 65 hours after the severe earthquake in the Aegean Sea, a three-year-old child was recovered alive from under the rubble in the Turkish coastal city of Izmir. The civil protection has announced this on twitter.

The three-year-old girl was buried under the rubble of the apartment where she lived with her family on Friday afternoon. The building, which had eight floors, almost completely collapsed.
One day after the earthquake, the child’s mother and three siblings had already been rescued. One other child, a seven-year-old boy, has died. Several other residents of the apartment building have been hospitalized.
Earlier in the day, a 14-year-old was also recovered alive from under the rubble in Izmir. The teenager was taken to hospital.
Friday afternoon’s severe earthquake in the Aegean Sea at least killed more than 80 people, most in the Turkish coastal city of Izmir. Two young people were killed on the Greek island of Samos.
The quake’s epicenter was in the Aegean Sea, about 17 kilometers off the coast of Izmir. The shock had a force of 6.6.
