Both the Bucks and the Nuggets have 44 wins this season, the same number as the Boston Celtics, located second in the Eastern circuit, half a game behind Milwaukee.
That shortlist has undoubtedly been the most stable throughout the course and their presence in the playoffs is practically guaranteed, except for a very unlikely debacle.
In the West, the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings also have their tickets to the postseason in hand, while a total of 10 teams still have real possibilities, since the difference is only four and a half games at the moment between the clubs located between the fourth and thirteenth place.
Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets are now in privileged positions in the East, but without trusting themselves because the distance from the rest is not yet decisive when some teams have up to 19 games left to play in the regular calendar.
On the other hand, everything indicates that the Hornets, Pistons, Spurs and Rockets ran out of options to advance to the postseason, already far removed from the fight for the classification.
