Today’s F1 qualifier for the Styria Grand Prix is in jeopardy

The Formula 1 Championship should continue today with a qualification for the Styrian Grand Prix from 15:00, but it is constantly raining on the track in Spielberg, Austria, and the course of Saturday’s program is currently endangered. The race management is therefore dealing with a possible transfer of qualifications to Sunday.

Due to extremely unfavorable conditions and impassable track, he was first postponed indefinitely and then completely canceled the third training, the start of which was originally scheduled for noon.

Due to water surges at the Red Bull Ring, the Formula 3 race ended prematurely in the morning. The drivers were stopped after 12 of the 24 laps because the conditions on the track were too dangerous and resulted in a series of accidents.

If it is not possible to complete any F1 races today, the race management will decide on the next program. The order at the start of Sunday’s Grand Prix could then be decided by the times achieved in Friday’s practice. In that case, Dutchman Max Vertsappen from Red Bull would take the pole position. However, it is also possible to move the qualification to Sunday morning.
