Tuesday, March 9, 2021 – Almost a year ago, the first lockdown was announced. Since then, our social life has been severely curtailed. There is a prospect of improvement, but it will take a while. To keep up the good spirits launches Sofie’s World next Friday, March 12 Fancy Friday. A day where we all dress up again, neat with all the trimmings. Even when we go to the bakery or the DIY store.
Sofie Lemaire had been brooding on the idea for some time. And when listener Patrica suggested something similar to her last Friday, the boat had left. “Dress up instead of dress down”, that’s how Patricia put it.

Also A is participating in Fancy Friday. Linde Merckpoel heard the call from Radio 1 and Sofie Lemaire immediately jumped in. In her video, Linde calls on everyone to get something nice out of the closet on Friday and thus celebrate the day in style.

The instructions: get your best clothes ready on Thursday evening. On Friday morning you put them on and after the passage in the bathroom you take a picture of yourself wherever you are that day: at home, on the street, in the parking garage or the supermarket, alone or remotely in your bubble. Send that photo to Radio 1 via the app. Radio 1 will turn it into a mega mosaic on Friday. #fancyfriday
