Today, the train to Stockholm takes almost six hours. Now Oslo is merging with Swedish cities to halve the time.

For several years, Swedish cities have been fighting for new train lines between Stockholm and Oslo. This week, Oslo Municipality will also be on the team.

– I’ve heard it’s a little old. I do not have to go in to see that it is, says Lillian Rusti. She is standing on the platform at Oslo S and watching the Stockholm train, which will soon depart.

This is Rusti’s first time taking this train. But she travels with her niece Samantha Røsand, who has taken the trip a few times before. She is from Karlstad, where they are going.
