The quarter-finals of the Singapore Squash Championship will begin today, Friday, and will continue until November 19, with prizes amounting to $110,000 for men and the same for women.
The tournament witnessed the participation of 13 Egyptian players, as follows:
Six players from Egypt will participate in the tournament in the men’s competition: Ali Farag, Youssef Ibrahim, Karim Al-Hamami, Fares Al-Desouki, Mustafa Assal, and Youssef Soliman.
While in the women’s competition, 7 players participate: Nour Al-Tayeb, Salma Hani, Rawan Al-Arabi, Zeina Mikoy, Salma Al-Tayeb, Nadine Shaheen, and Nour Abu Al-Makarem.
In a related context, Alex Goff, CEO of the Professional Squash Federation, confirmed that squash, which will participate in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles after four consecutive unsuccessful attempts to participate in the Olympic Games, is making plans to retain its place in Brisbane, Australia, in 2032.
Goff added, in press statements, that he feels “very confident” about the long-term future of squash in the Olympic Games, “We are already looking at what we need to do to stay in the Olympic Games.
