/ world today news/ Today the political party “ABV”, the political party “Movement 21” and the political party “Stand Up Bulgaria” in the person of Rumen Petkov, Tatiana Doncheva and Maya Manolova, signed an agreement to form a coalition “THE LEFT!” for participation in the elections for municipal councilors and mayors on October 29, 2023.

Coalition “THE LEFT!” continues its political activity, and as we promised about a year ago, we continue our activity with the idea of uniting the left political space and creating prerequisites for people in Bulgaria to find an alternative to governance both at the central and local level.
In this case, we believe that it is necessary at the national level to review the issues with the financing of the municipalities and securing their financial status. By ensuring an adequate and fair distribution of resources in the operational programs for the current program period. So that adequate infrastructure and a good living environment for Bulgarian citizens are provided. We will work to provide services in the field of waste management, the water supply sector, the construction of connections between settlements, streets and sidewalks, green areas, urban planning in the settlements of Bulgaria.
With the joint efforts of the three political parties that make up the “LEFT” coalition, we will try to nominate our own candidates for municipal councilors in all Bulgarian municipalities. We will try to have mayoral candidates. We will work for a joint appearance with other left-wing political parties. Our goal is the presence in the Bulgarian municipalities of the representatives of the “LEFT!” as municipal councilors, mayors of municipalities and mayors of settlements and regions.
