“Today, the key word for the world, Europe and Bulgaria is security. But security must be considered not only in terms of foreign policy and borders, but also as security for our life here in Bulgaria”. This was stated in Teteven by Iliyana Yotova, candidate for vice president, nominated by the Initiative Committee and supported by the BSP, at a meeting with citizens in the municipality. According to her, unfortunately Bulgaria now leads a dependent policy, and the rulers with a number of their actions show that we are not a sovereign state. “Where is Bulgaria today – a depopulated country, with a disappearing nation?” Yotova asked. According to her, it is not the findings that are important, but what we can do for our country to change the status quo.
“We have to get the institution out of the waking coma it is in.” For the past 5 years, we have seen nothing of the current president’s activities. This is not just an individual failure, this is a GERD failure. “Bulgaria needs strong politicians, real leaders, in order to be an equal partner in Europe, to make policies, and not to make experiments on us,” stressed Iliana Yotova. One of the highlights in the future work of the new presidential couple will be education, because “there is no strong country without educated citizens”.
“It is not possible to imagine Mrs. Tsacheva as a unifier of the nation, because for 6 years as the Speaker of the National Assembly, she has only proven how she can divide,” Yotova was categorical.

It is the state that will lend a hand to young people. It is not true that there is no money, there are wrong balance sheets and wrong policies”, she pointed out.
According to her, the place allocated to Bulgaria is not enviable. “Old Europe has closed to refugees, the prospect before us is to turn into a huge refugee camp. Long-term and short-term actions are needed on our part and on the part of European politicians. We have concrete proposals for immediate measures inside the country – maximum border protection and breaking up the canal networks. We do not agree that we need to ensure the same standard for refugees in all European countries. Bulgaria is not in a position to implement this”, Iliana Yotova pointed out.
“We will fight this election despite everything being thrown at us, huge administrative pressure, threats, vote buying, election day replacement attempts. General Radev and I have something different and much more valuable that they do not have, behind us are the hopes of the Bulgarians. We do not make empty promises about security, health, education, and young families. We do not want to use the energy of a few self-styled politicians, but the energy of Bulgarians, of young people, of children. For our homeland, which we truly love endlessly”, Yotova pointed out.
