Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. – The municipal government will carry the ‘Medical Brigade‘to Villas de San Miguel, this Thursday, February 18, from 10 in the morning to 1 in the afternoon.

This as part of health prevention program, will be installed in the Community Center located in San Baltazar, between Severino and San Fulgencio, said the director of Municipal Health, Jaime Emilio Gutiérrez Serrano.

To care for men and women with three diseases that aggravate the mortality of Covid-19 and that have lagged behind as the days go by, which is hypertension, diabetes, and breast, cervical and prostate cancer“, he indicated.

He said that since the arrival of the pandemic in the country, attention to Covid-19 was prioritized, leaving aside other conditions.

So we are going to give an opportunity to people who come to the mobile units and we will use the facilities of the Community Center to provide preventive service and treatment of these diseases.“, He said.

General consultation, medication, blood pressure measurement, glucose level detection, pap smear, mother’s examination and prostate antigen, syphilis and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) examination will be given.

In the ‘Medical Brigade’ that was held in Valles de Anáhuac, last Thursday, 154 people were attended, reported Jaime Gutiérrez.

They performed 32 blood pressure measurements, 32 glucose measurements, 20 consultations, 16 prescriptions, 32 tests for syphilis and HIV, and 10 pap smears and breast examinations.
