Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. – The deputy of Tamaulipas, Mariana Rodríguez Mier and Terán announced that it will participate in the national march in support of children with cancer, to be held on July 24 at the Mexico City.
“From the beginning of this legislature I have been very attached to the issue of the lack of medicines, particularly what has to do with children with cancer and also women with breast cancer”he explained.
He pointed out that the protest is because since the trusts were canceled, sick minors were left without access to chemotherapies and without drugs granted by the federal government.
He recalled that many opposed the cancellation of the fund for catastrophic illnesses and for the Popular Insurance not to be eliminated. “And that they turned it into the INSABI that nobody knows what it is, how it is or where it is.”
Rodríguez Mier and Terán He said “I am going to attend the march on July 24 at the Angel of Independence in solidarity and support so that they are provided with medicines and treatments.”
He noted that the confrontation of Hugo Lopez Gatell against parents of children with cancer reveals “lack of empathy and lack of responsibility because the right to health is in the constitution, these statements are inhumane.”
The deputy added “Let him resign because of the pandemic and because of these statements because we cannot have a person with that degree of lack of empathy in that position, we must not forget that he has an obligation to serve.”
Rodríguez Mier and Terán He said “The theme of the march is in support of families and children who are requiring their medications, regardless of who resigns or who provides them, what interests us is that they have access to medications.”
