The Mares’ Chase Series finale in Hereford is an excellent Wednesday on Sky Sports Racing, including the jumps at Lingfield and all-weather action from Wolves.
2.15 Hereford – Credo goes to the final of Mares’ Chase
That Jackson Property Mare Handicap Hunt (2:15) also the final of the Hereford Mares’ Chase Series, with an excellent pot of over £30,000 at stake.
Topweight Credo is the likely favorite for Anthony Honeyball’s side having won by a wide margin last time out at Chepstow and lost by a head in the penultimate heat at Hereford.
White Hart Lady is another to show up for Harry Fry’s team last time out with Lorcan Murtagh taking 3lbs off her back – Glorious Lady was another win for Cynthia Woods and Tabitha Worsley last time out.
2.30 Lingfield – Extremely competitive handicapped pursuit at Lingfield
A dozen runners line up in a hot revamp of the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap-Jagd (2:30)with many of them having leadership opportunities.
Gladiator Allen is in the best form in the book for Jane Williams although he has dropped in weight and needs to improve to eighth behind Shakem Up’Arry and finished well beaten in fourth at Newton Abbot behind Pic D’Orhy.
Franigane returns after a mammoth absence of over 600 days – he was a progressive newcomer to the hurdler when last seen for Harry Whittington and he makes his hunting debut here.
Gallic Geordie (Sam Drinkwater), Galop De Chasse (Venetia Williams) and Grandeur D’Ame (Alan King) could all be close.
7.30 Wolverhampton – Musicka on strike for the O’Meara team?
The action of the evening on Sky Sports Racing comes from Wolverhampton, with nine in a row BetUK’s Acca Club Handicap Free Bet £5 (7.30am).
Musicka is certainly notable having won over this course and distance and winning on his penultimate race for the team of David O’Meara – driving Jason Watson.
Intervention is a three-time winner over this distance and will therefore need to be monitored when betting on Mick Appleby and The Horsewatchers, while Lucinda Russell sends down Ballyare for a rare run at Dunstall Park with Shane Gray in the saddle.
Follow all the action from Plumpton, Southwell and Newcastle live on Sky Sports Racing on Wednesday 21st December.
