Mainz – The ZDF journalist Gundula Gause said she asked her colleague Claus Kleber about his tie choice before each “heute journal” broadcast. “I am very fond of details and want to match my jacket to his tie,” said the 56-year-old on Thursday morning at WDR 2. “I always joke and say” we don’t both wear a red jacket, “said Gause. “But, of course, it’s clear: I don’t want to wear a red dress if he’s wearing a purple tie.”
Is Kleber still getting involved?
Kleber (66) will host “heute journal” on ZDF for the last time on Thursday evening (9.45pm). According to Gause, it is possible that Kleber could occasionally contribute to the program afterwards. “I can well imagine that he will always give us a tip in retrospect,” said Gause. “He is a journalist and as a journalist it practically never stops working.”
