Until today – October 4, 2024, additional admission is open for candidates for supplies under the schemes “School Fruit” and “School Milk”who can submit applications for approval for the supply of fruit, vegetables, milk and milk products in the current academic year 2024/2025, reported the Agriculture Fund (DFZ). The aim is to cover more educational institutions.
Deliveries of fruit, vegetables, milk and milk products under the School Fruit and School Milk schemes in the academic year 2024/2025 have already started.
DFZ provides the funds and monitors the implementation of the schemes during the academic year, and the directors of the educational institutions are responsible for organizing, accepting and checking the products provided to them under the schemes, by drawing up a reception-handover protocol, according to Art. 4, para. 5 of the Ordinance on the terms and conditions for implementation of the schemes.
The regulation clearly regulates the responsibilities of the directors of educational institutions and those of the State Fund “Agriculture”. Principals of schools and kindergartens are the ones who choose the suppliers of fruits, vegetables, milk and milk products. In case of detected violations by the supplier during the delivery of the products, the directors may notify the relevant competent authorities in writing, according to item 5 of the Ordinance.
In DF “Agriculture” 95 applicants for the School Schemes for the supply of fruit, vegetables, milk and milk products have been approved so far. In the academic year 2024/2025, 445,860 children in 3,502 schools and kindergartens will receive fruit and vegetable supplies, and dairy products will be distributed in 3,495 educational institutions involving 442,030 children. Lists of approved applicants have been published on the website of the DF “Agriculture”.
