The inauguration of Sooronbaya Jeenbekov has passed

On November 24, 2017, the new President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov took the oath of office at the Ala-Archa state residence.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurzhan Shaildabekova presented him with a certificate, badge and standard of the head of state. From that moment on, Sooronbai Jeenbekov was considered to have officially assumed the office of president.

He was elected on October 15: 54.77 percent of voters voted for him.

450 guests were invited to the inauguration, among them Heroes of the Kyrgyz Republic, cultural figures, artists, members of the Cabinet, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, participants and families of those killed on April 7, 2010.

Sooronbai Jeenbekov resigned on October 15, 2020.

Born on November 24, 1918 in Stavropol, Samara province. Soviet stage designer, People’s Artist of the USSR and the Kyrgyz SSR.

Since 1947 he worked as a set designer at the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater in Frunze, and since 1949 – the main artist of this theater.

Over more than 30 years of creative life, he designed more than 70 opera and ballet performances. Among them are “Carmen” by Georges Bizet (1949), “Swan Lake” by Pyotr Tchaikovsky (1949), “Prince Igor” by Alexander Borodin (1954), “Toktogul” by Vladimir Vlasov, Abdylas Maldybaev and Vladimir Fere (1958), “The Unknown Soldier” Konstantin Molchanov (1967).

Working as the chief artist of the theater, he took a leading place in Kyrgyz decorative art.

The stage where the final concert of the Decade of Kyrgyz Literature and Art took place in Moscow in 1958 was decorated by a group of artists led by Anatoly Arefiev.

He died on January 28, 1989 in Dnepropetrovsk. Buried in Moscow.

Born on November 24, 1940 in the village of Leilek, Osh region.

In 1966-1973 he worked at the Kyrgyz State Academic Theater as a decorator, then head of the decoration and production department, and in 1980 – in the editorial office of the weekly Kyrgyzstan Madaniyaty.

Since 2000 – member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Stage designer of many famous performances of the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater.
