Today, the digital version of Grand Theft Auto is released: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a remaster of the cult games GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas for PC (Rockstar Games Launcher), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Nintendo Switch. Fans will have to wait until December 7 for the physical one. Versions for Android and iOS mobile platforms will also arrive in the first half of next year.
The remastered trilogy offers a number of improvements, including GTA V-style controls, improved weapon control and aiming, higher texture resolution, 4K resolution and up to 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. There will also be new rewards for Rockstar Games Social Club members, the option to re-instantly launch the mission after its failure, or partial control by touch screen or motion sensors on the Nintendo Switch console.
In addition, GTA: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition is already part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription today, while GTA: III – The Definitive Edition will be part of PlayStation Now from December 7. With the arrival of new remastered versions, the original version is also leaving the digital stores.
