The news was communicated to the country by Minister Enrique Paris, who stated that “the winter campaign is applied throughout Chile in a differentiated way, depending on the regions. That is to say, there is a strategy that has territorial relevance and each Health Service asks us or asks them to develop the strategy, which is already underway, so that we deliver the resources.”
“We will advance the resources for the winter campaign,” he assured.
Let us remember that the vaccination process of the fourth booster dose against coronaviruswhich can be given the same day as the flu shot without major problems.
“We also do not want to overload the primary care system by administering so many vaccines at the same time,” said the country’s highest health authority, detailing that “influenza vaccines and the coronavirus vaccine can be placed at the same time, that is, on the same day. The difference is that it has to be a vaccine in each arm“.

The minister informed that the first beneficiaries will be the health professionals. “On March 7 we are going to start with the influenza vaccine, fundamentally with the health team,” he said.
