“Today” at the vernissage of newcomer artist Anouk – scene

The vernissage of the newcomer artist Anouk Lamm Anouk took place on Friday. “Today” did not miss the opening in the Hotel Sacher.

Today, Friday, the exhibition “post / pre | Lesbian Jazz” by the newcomer artist Anouk Lamm Anouk opened in the Hotel Sacher. “Today”-Editor Dr. Eva Dichand did not miss the opening in the Sacher and paid a visit to the world-famous hotel and the young artist.

In a solo presentation by the artist, the exhibition shows for the first time a comparison of the two work series “post / pre” and “Lesbian Jazz”.

“Post/pre”

Work series “Post / pre”: “Post / pre” are non-spaces, non-places, the emptiness as the foundation of the fullness of the world. The close proximity, the feeling of kinship to Zen Buddhism, which is about getting to know emptiness as the origin of abundance.

To develop the ability to walk into the void, to fulfill oneself in the void.

Anouk deals with the question of what or from what people can still draw abundance and strength in an age of digital and real inundation with sensory impressions and pseudo-information.

“Jazz in Painting”

Werkserie “Lesbian Jazz”: With “Lesbian Jazz” the artist breaks out of the previously very organized image constructions, the pioneering and surface-delimiting lines. In autumn 2019 there was suddenly a new expressive black surface on a 200x150cm canvas – the beginning, the breeding ground for “Lesbian Jazz”. But first it had to be clarified: what exactly could “Lesbian Jazz” be and what could become of it?

“It felt like jazz in painting and space for lesbian visibility”.

Since then, Anouk has continued the series “Lesbian Jazz” in very diverse formats and is even amazed at the unpredictable development.
