There are 41,050 new daily cases of Coronavirus registered today in Lombardy compared to 223,167 swabs performed. This was reported in the bulletin of Tuesday 11 January 2022 issued by the Region. In the last 24 hours, another 91 deaths have been reported: yesterday 55 victims were registered. Since February of last year, the official deaths from Covid in Lombardy have thus reached 35,610. Cases increase compared to yesterday, in the face of a greater number of swabs carried out: yesterday in Lombardy the daily infections of Coronavirus were 45,555 out of 265,222 swabs. The number of patients admitted to the medical departments of hospitals continues to increase, now over three thousand, and the number of Covid patients admitted to intensive care is also growing.

In detail, the situation inside the Lombard hospitals is as follows: 3,317 Covid patients are hospitalized in the ordinary wards, yesterday they were 3,202. According to the bulletin, 253 Covid patients are hospitalized in intensive care in Lombard hospitals: yesterday they were 256.

Covid situation in the provinces of Lombardy

Below is the situation in the Lombardy provinces, with the breakdown by area of ​​competence of the infections detected in the last 24 hours. According to what was communicated, 12,065 cases have been identified in the province of Milano. In the province of Varese the cases were 3,337, while there were 3,597 in that of Monza and Brianza. A Bergamo the cases were 4,026, in Bresciano instead they were 5,880. In Comasco 2,637 cases were registered in the province of Sondrio 735. In the province of Mantua there were 1,550 cases, 1,292 in the province of Lecco and 1,395 in the province of Cremona.
