This saturday 346 cases of coronavirus are reported and in the epidemiological week ending today, on average each day there were 500 new cases, while six weeks ago the daily average was 100.
In this epidemiological week, 3,578 positive cases, that is, 544 more than the previous week. In addition, 42 deaths were recorded.
The manager of Epidemiology of the Departmental Health Service (Headquarters), Carlos Hurtado remarked These figures are a sample of the intensity with which the fourth wave is affecting the department.
This day, 10 people died; 4 women and 6 men. Of the total number of deaths, 8 had no vaccine.
The report also detailed that 103 people are in intensive care units because of coronavirus. On the other hand, there is 443 more recovered.
“We are ending the week with more cases, more deaths and the only thing that managed to contain the pandemic was the massive vaccination that we are promoting,” he stressed in time to ask the population to avoid attending parties or crowded places.
