Tobias Hellwig made a big impression on him

Created: January 13, 2021

Enzweihingen (nac). The athletes from the region are in the public focus and are usually judged on their performance. But how do they really work? In a new series of interviews, the VKZ sports editorial team introduces the people behind the athlete. Part 8: Footballer Yannick Rähmer (23), captain of the B division TSV Enzweihingen.

How are you?

I’m fine. Thanks for asking.

Now in the phase without training or play: How do you keep fit?

Actually, I’m really happy to have a little break. At the moment I keep myself fit through stabilization exercises for my damaged back.

And how do you spend the free time you have gained?

I invest more time in my work. There is nothing more you can do during this difficult time.

What are you currently missing the most?

Definitely football. I am crazy about football. I miss the competition and especially my team-mates. I am currently missing the part of my life that I enjoy most.

And what can you generally not do without?

Oh, I love making myself a shisha in the evening and reviewing the day. This is how I relax and recharge my batteries.

Let’s look back at the competitions completed so far this season / at the previous season: How did it go?

The season went pretty much as we imagined. With the new additions Marc Schwab, Waldemar Grinko and my little brother Marcel Rähmer, we have gained a lot of quality. In addition, Dolorjant Imeri has often made it back to training and games, so that we are no longer so predictable for our opponents.

What wasn’t going so well?

The only drawback we had was the defeat against SGM Hohenhaslach / Freudental II. In the game we just played underground, the Hohenhaslachers and Freudentalers fought and in the end deservedly won. For this, again huge recognition to the SGM.

And what are you satisfied with?

I am very happy with the number of goals I scored this year. If the season continues, I hope that my nose for goals and my callousness have been preserved.

Are you still hoping that the season will end?

I hope so, but I don’t think so. I think the buffer that the Württemberg Football Association (WFV) has given itself will soon be used up. But hope dies last.

What is the optimal scenario for you to bring the season to an end?

It would be ideal to play the preliminary round to the end and then to complete a promotion round between the first eight teams to determine who has been promoted.

And when you look back on your previous career: What was your best sporting experience?

My best sporting experience was the championship in the association relay north with the A-youth of SKV Rutesheim. Incidentally, that was also the time in which I learned the most and which shaped me.

And what was the negative highlight?

The following promotion games in the EnBW-Oberliga against FV Ravensburg. We lost them 1: 3 each time and did not advance despite the championship.

Who was the best competitor you have ever faced?

Hard to say, every week there are different man-markers that I get to know. It may sound strange now, but the player who completely took me out of the game was Tobias Hellwig from SGM Hohenhaslach / Freudental II. When our promotion competitors, Ensinger and Horrheimer, found out about this game and this player in winter have not committed, it is your own fault.

And what is your sporting role model?

Cristiano Ronaldo is my greatest sporting role model. This man simply shows how you can achieve anything you set out to do with incredible will, impressive hard work and fascinating self-discipline.

If you weren’t into the sport you chose, what hobby would you pursue?

I would most likely play tennis. I have a pretty big ego, and tennis is the best way to satisfy it.

How do you characterize your family or friends?

Let’s put it this way: I can still live at home, and despite everything, my father Hans-Ulrich Rähmer still likes me.

And what is your greatest weakness?

I can’t lose at all. Defeat is always very difficult to digest.

If you had a million euros to spend, what would you do with it?

You really don’t want to know. (laughs)

Which celebrities would you like to meet?

The Brazilian Ronaldinho – of course. The guy was the master of the ball, just a feast for the eyes. He also likes to party, so of course I would be there too.

Which headline would you like to read about yourself in the VTS?

Yannick Rähmer shoots TSV Enzweihingen into the A class with a stroke of genius.
