Tobacco: Rennes hospital is looking for volunteers to test a drug

Stop smoking it may seem like an obstacle course. Several hospitals of France have launched a study of an experimental drug “to help quit smoking”. Among these hospitals is the University of Rennes.

According to the CHU’s Clinical Investigation Center (CIC), already 100 people volunteer. There are still some places.

The conditions for being admitted

  • Being able to easily reach the CIC of Rennes.
  • I smoke more than 11 cigarettes a day.
  • Don’t smoke cannabis.
  • Get ready to follow 10 medical visits for smokers for a period of one year.

Other participating hospitals

The experiment is also conducted in hospitals in Bordeaux, Dijon, Poitiers, in the Bretagne Sud hospital group and in the Eurofins-Optimed research institute in Grenoble.
