TOKYO – A new history was created in the men’s 100 meters athletics (sport) Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where the athlete from Italy, namely Lamont Marcell Jacobs successfully won the gold medal after recording a time of 9.80 seconds. For Jacobs, winning a gold medal in the 100 meters has been a dream since childhood.
Jacobs was happy to have made his little dream come true. He also did not think he could actually be the fastest in the men’s 100 meter number.
Jacobs said that his opponents were very tough, such as Fred Kerley (United States) who finished second, and Andre De Grasse (Canada) who could take third place. Of the six sprinters who can touch the finish line, all can record a time of under 10 seconds.

So, Jacobs felt very grateful for being able to outrun his opponents. The record time of 9.80 seconds that was inscribed by Jacobs has led him to become the first Italian athlete to win a gold medal in the men’s 100 meters.
Amazingly, Jacobs became the first person to win the men’s 100 meters after Usain Bolt, who has always won it since the 2008 Olympics. For three editions Bolt was able to become the fastest in that number.
However, now Jacobs is the fastest runner in the 100 meters. He was happy and proud of this achievement.
