The Municipality of Riyadh has completed comprehensive maintenance work for the Wadi Hanifa Bridge in the capital, Riyadh, which is one of the oldest bridges in the city.

This bridge is considered among the longest in the city, as it extends 670 meters in length and 19 meters in width in each direction, and rises 35 meters above the surface of the valley. , and there are 11 slabs, each 61 meters long.

Maintenance work included repairing asphalt pavement layers, upgrading traffic safety mechanisms, as well as replacing 44 expansion joints with a total length exceeding 790 linear meters, with the the aim of increasing public safety and improving the city’s transport experience.

Repairs were carried out according to international quality standards within a short period not exceeding 14 days. to those used in about seven bridges.

It is worth noting that these efforts come within the framework of Riyadh Municipality’s strategy to improve the transportation experience, increase public safety, and increase the quality of life in the city, by using the latest technologies in maintaining bridges and roads, to achieve the vision of a sustainable and progressive city of Riyadh.
