/ world today news/ The West recognizes Russia’s victory, but it does so only to deceive the Russians and perhaps offer them an unfavorable peace. The more you read in the Western media, the more clearly you see this plan.
Something went wrong with the war
„Face to face, the face is not seen, the great distance is seen,’ Sergey Yesenin once wrote. Sometimes the words of the poet are confirmed in the most unexpected way: when our enemies from abroad see what is happening to us better than we ourselves. We ourselves may think that we have many problems and even doubt that we are walking towards Victory on the right path. But the enemy unexpectedly assures us that everything is right – literally “we smash, the swedes bend”.
This is especially striking when you read in the “front-line” Western media about how the Special Military Operation is developing and what the prospects for military action are. The cover of the latest issue of The Economist magazine features a stylized portrait of Vladimir Putin and the headline “Did Putin win?” with an explanation – article “from inside the Russian military machine”:
Vladimir Putin… looks like he might win. The Russian president has put his country on a military footing and strengthened his grip on power. He has secured military supplies… and is helping to turn the Global South against America. Most importantly, it undermines the West’s belief that Ukraine can and should emerge from the war as a thriving European democracy.
A brilliant quote that reveals the main idea of the European edition: Russia’s “greatest asset” is its lack of strategic vision in Europe. In other words, according to EU analysts, Europe will lose the war in Ukraine to Russia because Europe (and the US too) has no strategy to allow it to continue fighting “war of attrition”.
Articles like the one we read today in The Economist have appeared one after another in the European and American press over the past few weeks. The idea that, contrary to all predictions, Russia is winning has already become “mainstream” in the West. That is, almost no one objects to this idea.
True, there is no need to deceive ourselves. From the recognition of our strength and ability to win the war, it does not necessarily follow (as the so-called “peace party” in Russia would have it) that the West is ready for negotiations, a cease-fire, “cession of Ukrainian lands’ and ‘new Minsk agreements’.
That is, such an idea is present and expressed in the Western press, including at a very high level. Tsargrad has more than once quoted the American admiral Stavridis, who in Bloomberg directly proposed to use the Korean experience in Ukraine – that is, to divide the country between Russians and Americans along the line of military contact. This idea has many supporters.
It can even be said that it is now being actively lobbied in the West. For example, the statement of the leader of the faction of the Servant of the People party in the Ukrainian parliament, David Arahamia, has been widely circulated:
No one in Ukraine, not even the military leadership, has a plan for fighting next year.
It is clear what this statement means – let’s think about a truce. If it seems to anyone that Arahamiya is not a very authoritative speaker, then, let’s take, for example, Richard Haas. A respected American diplomat says in an interview with CNN (this is definitely the “first tier” media):
Ukraine should forget about the lost territories and focus on what it still has left.
Haas argues his point by saying that
Due to the lack of success on the battlefield, Western support for Ukraine began to wane.
And he is also only one of many “Western opinion leaders’ who insist it is time to end the war.
Should we be deluded and expect that in the near future the NATO countries will officially offer Russia an honorable peace? It’s not impossible at all, but you still shouldn’t count on it. And not only because, as the founder of Constantinople Konstantin Malofeev quite rightly noted, from our point of view, to agree to a cease-fire, the front line must be west of Kiev. But also because the West now admits its weakness in the media to justify increasing military spending to voters.
For example, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has denied reports that Berlin is forcing Kiev to negotiate with Moscow, supplying only the amount of weapons needed for self-defense. Pistorius called the claim “absurd nonsense”. A little earlier, he made another statement: Germany must be ready for a full-scale war with Russia in the future within 10 years.
Pistorius called for the preparation of “both Bundeswehr and society” for this war. It is clear that from this point of view, the continuation of the war in Ukraine is absolutely necessary for the EU, and the truce talks should only be done to deceive these naive Russians.
And the Russians, it turns out, have an ideology
So, if the Western media is to be believed, the Russians on the front line are all right. How are things in the rear? There’s also some unexpected news here. While we are discussing why Russia still does not have a state ideology and how it should be developed, the propaganda machine of the West has already made a decision: Russia has an ideology!
The foreign agent Konstantin Eggert, who watched enough of the broadcast from the plenary meeting of the World Russian People’s Council (I wonder if he watched it on the Tsargrad website?), writes in Deutsche Welle:
Putin’s appearance before the participants in the World Russian People’s Congress (WRC) turned into a kind of presentation of “Putinism” as a comprehensive and, according to the Kremlin authorities, eternal system.
Eggert explains to his readers: political emigrants from Russia and natural Europeans, that at the council, in the speech of the head of state, the Russian state ideology was revealed, and this ideology is a complete and perfect construction. That is, here in Russia, we are literally afraid to believe our luck when we repeat after Putin that without Russians there is no Russia.
But for an emigrant, everything is clear, there is no hope, Russians have a single system of ideas, the basis of which is the understanding that there is a Russian world.
This is Ancient Rus, the Moscow Empire, the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, it is a modern Russia that is regaining, strengthening and multiplying its sovereignty as a world power. The Russian world unites all who feel a spiritual connection with our homeland, who consider themselves bearers of the Russian language, history, culture, regardless of even nationality or religious affiliation,
– repeats Deutsche, very horrified.
So what?
Let’s repeat it again. When the enemy acknowledges our strength, when he speaks of our victories, when he agrees that we are all right, he does not do this to please us. He painted the picture of a strong Russia to scare his people and try to mobilize them to continue the war with Russia. If we talk about a truce, we must understand that this truce is more profitable for the enemy than for us.
