To prevent the spread of polio, Vice President Amin calls for encouraging immunization

JAKARTA, KOMPAS — The government declared polio a state of extraordinary event following the discovery of a type 2 polio case that attacked a 7-year-old boy in Pidie district, Aceh. In response to this, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin instructed all concerned parties to immediately deal with the polio case so that it would not spread.

“I think it needs to be addressed immediately. Don’t let it become a pandemic like it used to be,” Vice President Amin said in a press statement after attending a meeting with Central Java board leaders and management Amil Zakat at The Sunan Hotel, Jalan Ahmad Yani Number 40, Kerten, Laweyan District, Surakarta on Monday (21/11/2022).
