A reproach turned into a threat and a promise that was established between the broker and the restaurant staff, which ended with his insistence: “I’ll come back to you again”.
The broker sought the help of his two friends, and all three made their way to the restaurant, raising the flag of war. A bitter verbal altercation resulted in a fight that prompted a worker to grab a knife – used to cut onions – to stick it in the chest of the owner of the real estate agency, injuring his friend.
A few minutes were enough for the owners of nearby shops and passers-by to gather, and after them the police, who imposed a security cordon on the crime scene, in implementation of the directives of Brigadier General Muhammad Amin, head of investigations in the October Sector.
Examination by Colonel Ahmed Negm, the October Gardens Division Inspector, confirmed that an estate agent was killed by a stab wound to the chest and a friend of his was injured, who has been transferred to the nearest hospital for treatment .
Investigations by Major Farid Moaz, head of the October Gardens Investigation Department, revealed that a verbal quarrel broke out between (the first part), the owner of a real estate investment company, a broker, his two friends and the workers of a Koshari Shop (the second part); for refusing to deliver a meal to his office.
According to the investigation by Major Mohamed Fahmy, Senior Associate of October Gardens Investigation, the dispute between the two sides escalated, and one of the restaurant workers stabbed the broker in the chest, wounding one of his two friends with a knife.
After legalizing the procedures, Captain Amr El-Beblawi, Associate Investigator of October Gardens, managed to seize the defendant and the instrument used in the crime, and Major General Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Deputy Interior Minister for the Sector of Giza security, referred him to the public prosecution and ordered Councilor Diaa Najm, head of the October District, and Councilor Muhammad Abu Zaina, director of the October Prosecutor’s Office, to detain the accused and authorize burial of the body after the autopsy.
