To overcome Covid-19, there is no need to fear vaccines: Archbishop of SLP – El Sol de San Luis

In order for us to truly be able to transition to “normality” and overcome the Covid-19 disease, it is necessary that “we are not afraid of vaccines”; considered the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of San Luis Potosí, Jesús Carlos Cabrero Romero, who lamented that after two years of the pandemic, there are still people who have a great prejudice against vaccines, despite the fact that it has been proven that they have helped to reduce serious cases and deaths from coronavirus.

He stated that, despite all the havoc that Covid-19 has left in our lives, there are still people “who say they are healthy and who have not needed to be vaccinated”; However, he pointed out, the recommendations that have been made from the health sector should not be neglected, since they are an important key to moving to this stage of “new normality”.

“It seems that Covid-19 is going to decrease little by little, but we have to get used to the new conditions that will arise, just after two years of the pandemic and looking at the havoc that it has left, not only seeing death, but also the psychological problems it has caused in many people. But, the main condition for us to get ahead is that we are not really afraid of vaccines, although that is another problem that I manage to see in society, ”he said.

Monsignor Cabrero reiterated that they are hopeful that this year the pandemic can finally end, so he once again invited the people of Potosí who have not yet been vaccinated to attend the sessions being carried out by the health sector. Well, he thought that if there are still several ups and downs, it is, as the doctors themselves have said, because there are still many people who have not been vaccinated.
