To make life easier for the Bing AI chatbot, Microsoft has set limits on the number of responses

Almost two weeks have passed since Microsoft presented a new version of the Bing search engine with a built-in ChatGPT solution. It was praised in every way, emphasizing that the answers provided by the chatbot will be relevant, relevant and reliable. However, several users have noticed some shortcomings. One of them – during long conversations, Bing’s artificial intelligence chatbot deviates from the topic, gives stupid, strange answers. That is why Microsoft has decided to make life easier for the chatbot and has set a limit on the number of answers it can give within one topic.

“Microsoft” has announced that those users who have access to the new version of “Bing” will no longer be able to talk to the chatbot so freely and discuss one topic for several hours. Now, the maximum number of answers that the Bing bot will give per topic is five. However, the total number of conversations in one day will not exceed 50. Justifying this change, the company states that the chatbot can easily get confused during long conversations, as it is difficult for it to keep track of all the context and information that it has shared. As a result, which is also proven by tests, the chatbot often deviates from the topic, in some cases even becomes rude and impolite.

Therefore, if you want to continue the conversation even after the fifth round, the Bing chatbot will invite you to start a new topic. On the other hand, if the number of responses allowed per day is exceeded, the robot will simply stop working and the user will be invited to communicate with it the next day.

Microsoft says that most users typically find the answers they’re looking for within five rounds, and only about 1% of all conversations consist of more than 50 messages. Therefore, if the user turns to the chatbot on a specific issue, then the new changes will not interfere much.
