Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Haitham Al-Enezi explained the diet that maintains a healthy heart.
He said during an interview with the “Yahla” program broadcast on the “Rotana Gulf” channel: “Unhealthy food leads to blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and heart disease.”
She continued, “You should stay away from saturated fat, like fast food, and stay away from sugars, because they turn into fat and can build up in your arteries, and stay away from eating large amounts of meat.”
She emphasized the need to eat vegetables and fruits, because they are more beneficial for the body than meat, fat and rice.
He pointed out that drinking water is beneficial for heart health because lack of fluid leads to an increase in heart palpitations, but the excess amount may not have a direct effect on heart health.
