The group “Nodraztie zimului”, in which Gustavs Terzens, Lauris Ābele and Ernests Lībietis, who have achieved recognition in various other music and art projects, released a new version of the song “Agni” by the bard Haraldas Sīmanis. Along with these songs, the group also announces its debut mini-album ‘Thought for Catholics’.

According to “Delfi”, the representative of the group, director and musician Lauris Ābele, the friendship of the members of “Nodrazto zimuli” with the everlasting singer Haraldas Sīmanis was for each his own and for all together. The trio didn’t hesitate for a moment when it was decided to pay homage to a local artist by creating his artwork “Agni” in their sound version or cover.
The song was completed in January 2022 and Simans himself managed to play it: the singer passed away on December 1, 2022. As Ábele writes, the group received the Maestro’s blessing to continue playing this song in his version.
The group has already managed to release their debut track “Cērt (Bende nāk)”. It is possible to hear both compositions on “Youtube” and “Spotify” and on some radio stations.
“Nodrāzto zimuļu”‘s first EP “Doma baznīcu katoļii” is available on “Spotify” and other platforms, where the songs “Cērt (Bende Nāk)” and “Agni” are joined by the composition “Izgītā”, which is a story about difficult fate of the Latvian language in the consciousness of the new generation , as well as on the heavy mantra “Birch sap”, which was inspired by specific Sanskrit texts, says Ábele.
