The music and lyrics of the song “Būs miers” were written by Madara Fogelmane and was created in collaboration with “White Wide Production” studio producer Jānis Narbutas, as well as percussionist and producer Sigvardas Dižo. The single “Madara”, dedicated to the peaceful winter solstice, talks about the organization of one’s inner world and the mutual unity of people.

“You can feel the emotions of peace and joy in the melody and lyrics of the song,” says Madara, the author of “There Will Be Peace.” “If we live among people who listen to each other, then the pain will disappear and there will truly be peace in the world. With this song, we also invite you to stop and enjoy the moment, the fact that each of us can simply be, because every existence has a meaning in this world.”

The “Madara” group is creating a new concert program, which will include colorfully rearranged songs composed by Madara Fogelmanes over the course of several years. When composing she uses only texts created by herself, which talk about topics that are important to everyone, related to the people themselves, to nature, to our spiritual and emotional world. The sound of the group is unique, because this is the only girl group in Latvia, whose music uses only string instruments and vocals, sometimes adding rhythmic instruments.

Madara Fogelman is a cellist who studied cello at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. She composes and performs songs in both Latvian and English and also creates arrangements of popular songs. Madara also works as a cello teacher at Saldus Music School. Four years ago, she won third place in the national selection of the Eurovision Song Contest “Supernova”.

Erna Daugaviete is a cellist and sound director who collaborates with musicians of various styles. As a cellist, she graduated from Emīlas Dārziņš High School of Music and received a degree from Jāzeps Vītolas Latvian Academy of Music as a sound director. Erna is a key member of both “Madara” and “Rihards Lībietis Orchestra”.

Undîne Adele Berg specializes in academic double bass, but at the same time also improves her skills in other musical styles. She graduated from Jāzeps Mediņš Music School No. 1 in Riga and continues her double bass studies at Jāzeps Vītolas Academy of Music of Latvia. She has also played in the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.
