It has happened to all of us to open Netflix and start watching ‘The Bridgertons’ without having any idea that the period series set in Regency London was anything but ‘light’. We are not going to do ‘spoilers’, but you will know that there are almost as many sex scenes as in all the movies of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, truth?
What we have come to tell you is that the dramatic, romantic and sensual series of Shonda Rhimes para Netflix has left more than one with their mouths open. Your family too! This is because the actor Regé-Jean Page, the one who gives life to our beloved Simon, forgot to warn a few that there would be a few risque scenes. You do not believe it? It seems to be true.
It was during an appearance in ‘The Graham Norton Show’ that the actor revealed what his relatives thought about the warmest moments of the series. “There were a few cousins who were not in the WhatsApp family group and did not know it,” the British confessed. “And they said, we went to make tea at the beginning of the first sex scene, and when we came back you were still at it,” added Regé-Jean.
Page, as you know, makes Duke of Hastings. His co-star is the actress Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne). Both have spoken on several occasions about the chemistry they have in front of the cameras. They tried to make their intimate scenes as authentic as possible and it seems they have succeeded.
“We were very prepared,” Regé-Jean said in one of the thousand interviews he has given over the last few weeks. “We had dance classes to learn to walk or gesture as was done at the time,” he adds. “Those scenes were all very rehearsed,” he confesses. Of course, he forgot to contact all the cousins, but what are we going to do? The Duke of Hastings was what he was!
