To go to Sardinia the tampon is no longer needed, from June 16 – Corriere.it

To go in Sardinia, from June 16, the tampon is no longer needed. The ordinance which – notwithstanding the provisions of the government for travel between different regions – obliged anyone who had to go to the island to have proof of a swab with a negative result, to be cured of Covid or to be vaccinated it expired on June 15 and was not renewed.

At the moment it is not clear whether the Region intends to introduce new regulations that regulate the entry of tourists. For sure, at the moment, there are no regulations on this.

Do you need a pass to travel to Italy?

As indicated who, to move to Italy it is not necessary to have the “green pass”, nor the certifications that – until the pass is launched – will replace it (ie that you have been vaccinated, with the first dose, for at least 15 days, that you have recovered from Covid or have been subjected to a tampon that gave negative results. By the end of the week, the government should launch the new Dpcm on the “green certificate Covid 19” (the official name of the green pass) which will enter into effective on 1 July.

From 26 April, then, you can move freely between regions and autonomous provinces that are in the yellow or white zone, without having to show neither a negative swab, nor the vaccination certificate, nor the document certifying the recovery from Covid.

Although Italy is completely in the white and yellow zone, Sardinia had passed an ordinance requiring travelers arriving on the island to register on a site (it is called Sardegna Sicura and, from today, it no longer works) and to equip itself with green pass (and therefore of a negative swab carried out less than 48 hours before departure, or, alternatively, of a certificate attesting to being cured of Covid, or to have received the first dose of vaccine for at least 15 days).

This ordinance has expired: from today, therefore, you can move to Sardinia as you move between all the other Italian regions, without passes, certifications or tampons ..

If the epidemiological situation were to worsen in some regions or provinces, the green pass could however also become necessary to move between regions. The decree in force today establishes that it is necessary to move between orange or red regions for reasons related to tourism. If you move to a region or province that is in the two highest risk bands for reasons of health, work, necessity and urgency, on the other hand, self-certification is sufficient.
