To find criminal elements, the police immediately determine the suspect in Rizieq Shihab’s swab test case

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com – The police will immediately determine the suspect in the swab test case (swab test) leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab who carried out MER-C at Ummi Hospital, Bogor, West Java.

This is because the police have found elements of a criminal act and have raised the status of the case to the investigation stage.

“We have not named a suspect, but as soon as possible it will be done,” said Head of Bogor City Police, Sr. Comr. Hendri Fiuser, Tuesday (8/12/2020).

The police continue to explore the criminal element in the case.

So far, 25 people have been questioned by the investigation team regarding the case, ranging from the board of directors of Ummi Hospital, MER-C, to the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya.

From the results of the examination, it was found that there was an element of a criminal offense in the case swab test Rizieq Shihab until the policy raises the status of the matter to the level of investigation.

“Yes, there were criminal events (elements). The investigation is how the investigator finds out whether or not a criminal incident was reported,” said Hendri.

Hendri added, during the process of examining witnesses, the investigating team focused on questions about standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling and preventing Covid-19.

Including the cooperation and reporting system of Ummi Hospital as a Covid-19 referral hospital with the Bogor City Covid Task Force.

“Everything departs from the procedure. From there everything can be seen,” said Hendri.

He said investigators would again summon witnesses for questioning.

Investigators also had the opportunity to present new witnesses in the case to strengthen the evidence.

Previously, the Bogor City Covid-19 Task Force reported the President Director of the Ummi Andi Tatat Hospital to the Bogor City Police Headquarters.

Andi was reported along with several other Ummi Hospital employees because they were considered not cooperative and transparent in providing information about the implementation swab test Rizieq Shihab who was carried out by MER-C in secret at the hospital.
