NS will operate fewer trains on a number of routes from Monday 7 November. This is due to a severe staff shortage. Among other things, between The Hague and Amsterdam and between Groningen and Assen, the carrier is reducing the number of trips.
NS has long suffered from too few drivers and drivers. The transport company says more than two thousand employees are missing.
In September, he therefore decided to start traveling with fewer trains. From this Monday, a little later in the program the route will be canceled. At the start of the new timetable, on 11 December, this number will be further reduced.
