The Chinese smartphone maker Honor launched its foldable phone globally last Sunday, as it looks forward to competing with Apple and Samsung in the high-quality smartphone market.
The Honor Magic Vs phone was launched for the first time in China last November. At the present time, the company is seeking to sell the device in a larger number of foreign markets, including the United Kingdom, Germany and Latin American countries.
The phone represents the Chinese company’s ambition to expand in the market through its latest foldable smartphones, in light of its fierce competition with companies such as “Apple” and “Samsung”.
Honor split from Huawei after a number of US sanctions cut off the Chinese telecom giant from important chips and access to the Android operating system, destroying its smartphone business.
Currently being a separate entity, Honor has access to the Android systems and components it needs for its advanced devices.
The Honor phone works with the Android system, and includes an internal screen measuring 7.9 inches when it is fully opened, and it also comes with a second display on the outer surface of the device when folded, measuring 6.45 inches. The price of the device is 1599 euros (1690 dollars) in the European market. (agencies)
