Tangerang Regency, Koranpelita.co – Thousands of State Prison (Rutan) Residents of Tangerang Class I Penitentiary (WBP) Jambe District, Tangerang Regency Participated in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Screening in Cooperation with Health Bureau of the Tangerang District (Dinkes), Tuesday (6/12/2022).
Tangerang District Health Bureau (Dinkes) dispatched 50 health workers and he was assisted by prison health personnel. The HIV screening activity was carried out in Tangerang Class I Detention Center and was mandatory for all prisoners to participate in to discover from an early age the potential for HIV transmission.
Furthermore, this HIV screening activity was also carried out in commemoration of World AIDS Day.
Prison Services Section, Gilang Riflianto, expressed his gratitude to the Tangerang District Health Bureau for organizing this HIV screening activity.
“We thank you very much for the cooperation of the Tangerang District Health Bureau team, we hope that we can continue to carry out similar activities in the future in the context of examining and detecting infectious diseases such as HIV,” Gilang said.
Furthermore, Gilang said that this screening activity is done regularly because HIV is a disease that can be transmitted. Gilang also appealed to WBP to be able to maintain and pay attention and health care.
“I urge you to adopt a healthy lifestyle in your daily activities, maintain your health and prevent disease from actually starting from yourself, avoid all activities that can cause disease,” Gilang explained at WBP Class I Detention Center in Tangerang. (sam)
