To celebrate the birth of his future child, he goes to a bar in Salazie: he fights and ends up in prison for 2 years

This Friday appeared at the Court of flowery field Nathan * for violence and damage to property belonging to others.

Hearing that he is going to be a dad again, he goes to a bar to celebrate the news and ends up fighting in the street.

Abstain from alcohol for 4 months, Ex-combatant, and father of an 11-month-old baby, Nathan learns on March 7, in Salazie, that he is going to be a father for the second time. Going to a bar to celebrate the happy event, the father plunges, without having seen it coming, into his addiction.

Staggering, he ends up punching the mirror in his uncle’s bar before leaving at the request of his son without grumbling.

Outside he then comes face to face with another man, and without really understanding the how and why both end up bickering before fighting in the street: blows in the head, pebbles on the car…

Very quickly, the men around manage to separate the two protagonists.

The man who was a veteran had a few years ago lost the sight of an eye due to a gunshot. He did not take any illicit or harmful substances.

Unable to fight anymore, this event was a real descent into hell for him, that’s how he fell into alcoholism. He admits himself at the bar, on several occasions, “alcohol is not good for me, I want to get out of it. I even made an appointment with an addictologist next Thursday.”

The prosecutor proposes a return to prison while the lawyer explains in vain that Nathan’s problem is alcohol and that he must be treated, she stipulates that a return to prison for the latter will only serve to nothing and that he needs help.

The father, who already had mentions of similar violence on his record, was sentenced to two years in prison, and saw his name on the list of people who could not possess a weapon.
