The book has been published by the “Book of the Day”. The first fifty copies of the book are numbered, they also contain the signatures of the musicians.
In the LTV program “Morning Panorama”, group members Māris Žigats and Aldis Lunde said that cooperation with the author of the book has also changed their mutual relations.
“Now John knows us very well, even better than we could have imagined. We have not been terrible friends, we have always been competitors, because Jānis is also a musician. But now Jānis has gone deeper [mūsos], starting with our grandfathers, grandmothers, dads and mothers, so that he knows the current situation very well, ”said Māris Žigats.
The author of the book describes it as a story not only about the group, but also about the young people of the nineties, about breaking out, the principles and position, the quality of life and music. Describing the impact of the events of the 1990s on their work, the musicians explained that interaction was important.
“We were the most direct witnesses to the events of that time, and the events of that time had an impact on what we did, how we did it, how we lived, how our personalities, our music and ourselves developed,” said Maris Žigats.
