After almost four years of urban renewal in Lower Austria, the municipality of Amstetten is now applying for an extension year in the state campaign. In 2020, the municipality started the necessary citizen participation process. “The people of Amstetten were involved from the first idea to the joint opening,” says Mayor Christian Haberhauer (VP). A wedding garden, the attractiveness of the traffic education park, the Gigerreith city hiking trail and the A-Toll event room were realized in this way. The online presence of the municipality was also improved in the course of urban renewal. The redesign of the parish garden, an attractive bus stop design for the Amstetten city bus and a clear parking guidance and signage concept are currently in the works, which are to be gradually implemented.
