Journalist and program manager, and former cultural editor of Dagsavisen, Brita Møystad Engseth was supposed to be on the culture and media fleet in today’s Pride parade. After the shock over the incident subsided and she managed to reflect a little, the rage came:
– Two things: All of you who in recent weeks have written posts, articles and readers’ letters that we must protect the children from Pride, or that Pride has gone too far, or that it is too much Pride: Fuck you!
– And to those of you who think there will be a lot of rainbow flags: We do not have enough flags! says Møystad Engseth. She also responds to the advice to stay home today:
– At home? No. I will NOT sit at home, I will actually go down to the city and bring as many rainbow flags as I can, and then I will plant them in front of the Storting. The lawn outside the Storting will be covered with a flag, says a furious Brita Møystad Engseth.
At home? No. I’ll NOT be sitting at home

Received message from friends
Celebrity party fixer and event planner Ronnie Ottem Fjære is traveling in Spain, but received the tragic news from friends.
– This is just completely cruel, says Ottem Fjære.
– Of course, my thoughts go to the relatives. This is so very, very sad, says Ottem Fjære to Dagsavisen.
I think the Pride celebration is the most important thing we can do today
— Ronnie Ottem, event planner
– I have been told that my cohabitants are safe and so far our colleagues and our queer workplace are not affected. But I think that the Pride celebration is the most important thing we can do today for those who are at home, says Ronnie Ottem Fjære. And adds that abruptly and tragically, this year’s celebration became more important than in many years.
– To everyone who says this day is not important: now we all got confirmation that you are wrong. Pride is needed more than ever, says Ottem Fjære.
