TNI Soldiers Write Mobile Numbers on Quarantined Student Passports

Viral on social media related to the inappropriate behavior of TNI soldiers who served at Wisma Atlet Pademangan. The TNI member wrote down his personal phone number on the passport of the student undergoing quarantine.

There are three soldiers: According to the female students, as many as three soldiers wrote their phone numbers on their passports. The students from the University of Sussex, England, carried out a post-arrival quarantine to Indonesia.

Already reported: A protest has been sent to the Pademangan Athlete’s Wisma officers via the WhatsApp group. They objected because the passport is an official state document.

“Sir/Madam, I ask for your attention. At Wisma it seems like chaos. There is a TNI who writes down his cellphone number on the Passport IISMA Awardee (censored). I think this is clearly not allowed, because passports are official state documents,” wrote the contents of the chat in WhatsApp. .

Captain’s Response: Responding to the photos, Kapendam Jaya Lt. Col. Cpm Dwi Indra Wirawan said that the actions of the TNI members had violated procedures. He regretted that this incident was not allowed.

“It is true that there was a procedural error made by our members on their documents,” said Indra, quoted from Kompas.com.

Already mediated: Indra said that his party had mediated the violators of the TNI members and the students whose passports were crossed out. The perpetrators have also agreed to compensate with the replacement of a new passport.

“As a result of mediation, the victim agreed not to prolong the problem,” said Indra, while ensuring that the TNI personnel who scratched their passports would still be given internal sanctions. (shall)
