TNI Member Causes Series of Accidents on MBZ Toll Road by Driving in the Opposite Direction

The TNI member has the initials Bed G triggered a series of accidents on the MBZ toll road because he was driving in the opposite direction. The Jaya Regional Military Police (Pomdam) does not yet know the purpose of First Lieutenant G’s trip.

Kapendam Jaya Lieutenant Colonel Inf Herbert Andi Amino Sinaga said that at that time First Lieutenant G was driving from Bekasi to Cikampek. However, at Km 25, he turned back towards Bekasi. As a result of his actions, G crashed into seven cars.

“So there was a series of collisions involving seven cars,” said Herbeth at a press conference at Ridwan Meuraksa TMII-Kesdam Jaya Hospital, Monday (11/9/2023).

Seeing this incident, First Lieutenant G turned back towards Cikampek. He continued his journey with the appropriate flow until he reached the door exit Tol MBZ Km 48.

“Bed G turned around again towards Cikampek. However in exit “The MBZ toll road at Km 48, Lettu G was secured by PJR Polri, then handed over to Denpom Jaya II or Pomdam, because it was known that the perpetrator was a member of the TNI,” said Herbeth.

Herbeth does not know for sure where Lettu G is traveling. Currently, Lettu G is still under medical treatment. He was diagnosed with a psychological disorder so he could not provide information to the Pomdam.

“Well, that was the reason why his health condition was stated earlier, that he had a psychological condition. Well, he is currently being treated at the RSPAD and the results are not yet available. So we can’t ask for information from the medical staff yet,” he added.

Herbeth added that his party would immediately check it Bed G after the medical team gave the results of the examination.

“So we asked him, he still answered that he was acting stupid and so on, so I coordinated with the Kodam health team to check again. Maybe now what we are concerned with is observing at the RSPAD hospital,” he concluded.
