“TNI Evacuates 75 Indonesian Nationals from Sudan, Repatriates 823 in Total”

The Indonesian Defense Forces successfully concluded their evacuation mission to bring Indonesian nationals back from Sudan. The third batch of 75 evacuees arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Airfield in Jakarta on Monday, after being flown back from Port Sudan to Jeddah and then transiting through Muscat, Oman, and Aceh. The TNI’s air force aircraft brought back a total of 344 Indonesians, as well as 15 foreigners from countries like Australia, Sudan, and Djibouti. The success of the mission was attributed to collaboration between the TNI, Foreign Ministry, and Indonesian representatives in Saudi Arabia and Sudan. After undergoing health checks, the 75 Indonesians were accommodated in the Hajj Dormitory in East Jakarta. The remaining 107 Indonesians in Jeddah will be repatriated on commercial flights soon. This operation was a success due to the effective cooperation and coordination between different parties involved in the mission.
