The Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) are taking urgent action to evacuate Indonesians from Sudan, deploying elite officers from the Air Forces’ Quick Reaction Forces Command (Kopasgat) to aid in the mission. Despite the ceasefire between Sudan’s conflicting sides, attacks have resumed, prompting the TNI to take further measures to secure the airport where the evacuation will take place. The team, which includes TNI AU pilots, Kopasgat officers, and medical officers, will be headed by Colonel Noto Casnoto and will prioritize the evacuation of vulnerable individuals, such as pregnant mothers and the elderly. The TNI will utilize a 100-seater Boeing 737-400 military aircraft, registered as A-7305, for the evacuation mission. This is the latest action taken by TNI to support evacuations of Indonesian nationals from high-risk areas, demonstrating their commitment to safeguarding the safety and security of their citizens.
