Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto appointed Rear Admiral Nazali Lempo as Commander of the Military Police Center (Danpuspom) TNI replaces Major General TNI Eddy Rate Muis who is entering retirement age.
Nazali’s appointment is part of the mutation of 136 TNI officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The Head of the General Information Division (Kabidpenum) of Puspen TNI Colonel Laut Edys Riyanto said the mutation was contained in the Decree of the TNI Commander Number Kep/645/VII/2021 dated July 19, 2021 regarding dismissal from and appointment to positions within the Indonesian National Army.
“The mutation and promotion of the position of 136 TNI High Officers (Pati) has been determined, consisting of 52 TNI AD Pati, 57 TNI AL Pati and 27 TNI AU Pati,” said Edys in a written statement, Wednesday (21/7).
He mentioned that 52 TNI AD officers who underwent mutations and rotations, including TNI Major General Eddy Rate Muis, who previously served as Danpuspom TNI, became Pati Headquarters of the TNI AD in order to retire.
Apart from Eddy, TNI Major General Sisriadi, who previously served as Coordinator of Expert Staff to the TNI Commander, has also entered retirement.
In addition, the TNI Commander also appointed Brigadier General Airlangga, from previously serving as the Indonesian Defense Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to the Special Staff of the Army Chief of Staff.
His position was replaced by Colonel Arh Putut Witjaksono Hadi, who previously served as Director of General Development Programs and Budgets of the Air Defense Artillery Weapons Center for the Army Education and Training Command, becoming Athan RI in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the 57 Pati TNI AL who received promotions and promotions were Admiral TNI Nazali from the Central Commander of the TNI AL Military Police to become Danpuspom TNI.
His position as Danpuspomal is held by Major General TNI (Mar) Lukman, who originally served as Deputy Commander of Education and Training of the Navy.
In addition, Brigadier General Edi Juardi, from previously serving as Commander of the 3rd Marine Corps, was appointed as Special Staff to the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, specifically to be assigned as Special Staff to the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Wahyu Sakti Trenggono.
In addition, there have been transfers to 27 Indonesian Air Force officers, among them is Marshal of the Indonesian Armed Forces, Tjahja Elang Migdiawa, from the Director for the Study of the Indonesian Air Force’s Education and Training Command to become Athan RI in Washington DC, USA.
It is known that one of the cases handled by Nazali while serving as Danpuspomal was the mistreatment by six members of the Navy against two residents of Purwakarta, West Java, at the Wisma Atlet in Purwakarta, on May 29, 2021.
Nazali said the perpetrators were threatened with dismissal and a maximum sanction of 10 years in prison.
