Commander of the Armed Forces Admiral Yudo Margono talk about the Susi Air pilot video Capt Philip Mark Mehrtens with the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). Yudo said that Philip did not seem threatened.
“Yesterday’s photo was still casual like that. It seems not feel threatened and relaxed. His clothes are also constantly changing,” Yudo said on the sidelines of the 2023 National Armed Forces Headquarters Large-Scale Service Activities in Madiun Regency, reported detikJatimSaturday (11/3/2023).
However, Yudo said that his party was still trying to free Philip. He admitted that he did not want to be careless because it could result in casualties.
“We’ll keep trying (to release). I don’t want any victims, so we have to be careful,” said Yudo.
Furthermore, when asked whether he would field a special team, Yudo said no. The government is more involved with the Carstensz Peace Team.
“There is no special team. So the Carstensz Damai Team, which we have optimized with the National Police and the Indonesian National Armed Forces, is to look for the pilot,” he stated.
