TN Prathapan MP against the action of the police to file a case against the Congress leaders in the strike at Paliekkara Toll Plaza. He responded that it was the police who had committed violence in the Paliekara strike and the police had taken a false case. TN Prathapan MP said in the press conference that the case is seen as a flower garland for the strike.
Anil Akkara and Joseph Taget were also present with TN Pratap. TN Prathapan said that the collector and SP had assured an impartial investigation into the police brutality in Paliekara.
Congress workers did not commit violence. The violence was done by the toll company goons. The police registered a case and filed a complaint to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. There is no retreat from the struggle just because the case has been taken. TN Pratapan alleged that the CPIM is still justifying the bandits. He also demanded that the CPIM stand clear on the ED probe in the Paliekara robbery.
