The celebrity website TMZ reports Saturday night that artist Aaron Carter is dead. He lived to be 34 years old.
According to the website, police responded to his home in California on Saturday, where they found him dead.
Police sources say homicide investigators were sent to the scene, but that nothing indicates that anything criminal has happened.
They also posted photos of police cars and cordons around what is supposed to be his home.

Aaron Carter made his debut as an artist in 1997, aged just nine, and is known for songs like “I Want Candy” and “Sooner Or Later”. He is also the brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter.
He has lived a turbulent life for several years, including extensive drug abuse.
In 2019, it was revealed that Nick, along with their mutual sister Angel Carter, had teamed up to secure a restraining order against his brother.
In a Twitter post, Nick Carter explained at the time that the reason was his brother’s threatening behavior. He went on to write that they loved Aaron and hoped he would get the care he needed.
In September reported LA Times that the artist was hospitalized in rehabilitation for the fifth time, in an attempt to take back the responsibility of his son Prince, who he has with Melanie Martin.
According to the newspaper, the two have lost parental responsibility for their son after concerns about violence and drugs.
– I have not had a relapse, but now there are many things that affect me. You know, I just want my son back, she said at the time.
