Tlaxcala, Tlax; as of January 19, 2024 (Writing). –The state government will invest around 675 million 418 thousand 313 pesos in 2023 to serve 1,066 schools in terms of infrastructure and school furniture, announced the head of the State Secretariat of Public Education and general director of the Education Unit. Educational Services of the State of Tlaxcala (SEPE-USET), Homero Meneses Hernández, during his appearance before the deputies of the LXIV legislature of the local Congress.

He noted that the New Tlaxcalteca Educational Model (Numet) was implemented in compliance with the instructions of Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros in order to guarantee the rights of girls, boys, adolescents and young people to universal, inclusive, public, free and secular
The Secretary of Education explained that Numet was divided into seven main actions that were the first Numet congress, where 48,245 educational agents participated; STEM initiative (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), in which the Tecnolochicas program was created to reduce the gender gap and 100 girls between 12 and 17 years old were trained.

He explained that in the matter of the New Mexican School, 271,269 Tlaxcalan girls, boys and adolescents benefited from the distribution of the new family of free textbooks; The current contents promote a teaching paradigm different from that of the neoliberal regime and the pedagogical tools promote the community approach and collective learning.
